DISCLAIMER! Chunk Error is an experimental server that relies on third-party plugins and server wrappers to run. We have no control over the stability of the plugins we use and bugs/glitches/instability can and do occur. To keep up to date with the most recent known bugs and any fixes we’ve implemented, please read the forum post here.

Many moons ago, in a blocky world, a dark force stirred. Hidden away in a mysterious tower in the Far Lands an evil sorcerer schemed to bring about the fall of the world. His dark magics ripped through the earth. Lands were sundered, the very stone through obsidian and bedrock cleft into fragments left to drift disconnected through the blackness of space.
A few citizens survived on little more than a floating rock. Some magic remained connecting the severed lands and they could travel from one chunk to another. Their hope for the survival of their world was renewed.
The world needs brave warriors, builders, engineers and farmers, skilled workers to stake claim to their own Chunk and guard it. Knights who will rule over their land and help reforge a bastion of hope and survival. Chunk Error needs you.
What is Chunk Error?
Chunk Error is a unique Minecraft server that fuses the single- and multi-player experience, giving you more control over how you play.
How does it work?
Every player rules over their own fixed-size worlds. The worlds are freely visitable by anyone, but the owner has control of who can build there, being able to promote and demote guests as they please, conserving their world as a single-player effort or opening up for multiplayer building. For further details, see the Chunk Error forums here.

Merchants
The Keep – a central, communal area – provides access to some core services; the Big Help Building to answer everything you need to know on starting your adventures on Chunk Error, and a range of Merchants that sell a handful of choice items to kick-start your adventuring career.
Bytes
Each player starts the game with five hundred in-game credits, called Bytes, that they are able to spend at the Merchants. Every month, the server automatically tops up your Bytes balance by 500 bytes.
Worlds
Each player can choose their world type when signing up or requesting further worlds. Currently there are two options (though we plan to add more in future) – you may choose from Survival (with damage enabled and monsters turned on) or Peaceful (with monsters and damage disabled). Players can create up to three worlds to call their own. This number will be increased in future depending on server performance.
How do I sign up?
